FDHS graduates Owen Johnson, Jr., Gwendolyn Johnson DeVille, and Sylvia Proctor celebrating Mr. Johnson's receipt of an award from the Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter of Morgan State University. In September 2022, Mr. Johnson was recognized by Morgan State Southern Maryland Alumni for service to Prince George's County, the state of Maryland, and the United States. Mr. Johnson is a 1963 graduate of FDHS, who years later would become a member of the Prince George's County Board of Education, including a stint as its chairman .
